Omar Lemus received his law degree in 1989 from St. Thomas University Law School in Bogota, Colombia. He also received his LLM (Master of Law) degree from the Universidad Libre de Bogota in Colombia. He is also a graduate of the prestigious FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
Attorney Lemus worked in Colombia as the District Attorney and Chief Prosecutor in Cali, Colombia. He also served as Chief Legal Counsel for the DAS (Colombia equivalent of the FBI) in Bogota, Colombia. Since that time he has litigated numerous criminal cases and Extradition defense cases in Colombia. He is a well respected expert in Colombia in the areas of extradition, drug trafficking prosecutions and kidnapping matters.
Mr. Lemus works with our firm in Colombia and other Latin American countries on cases relating to International Criminal Defense matters, Civil Litigation, Probate issues, Commercial and Banking disputes as well as Labor Law.
